Planet Aid joined 74 other organizations in condemning the recent horrendous attack at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday, October 27.
The statement, prepared by members of InterAction, an alliance of US-based organizations working together to end poverty, hunger, disease, and injustice emphasized the need to halt and reverse the acceleration of discrimination and intolerance within the United States.
It has become clear the assailant who carried out the massacre was motivated to spread hatred and misinformation about the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), an InterAction member organization that works to provide safety and freedom to refugees.
Planet Aid, along with the other InterAction members, stands in solidarity with HIAS and reaffirm our commitment to communities that are targets of hatred.
