The Avon Lake City Schools' Walk on Wednesdays, a health and wellness initiative at elementary and intermediate schools in Avon Lake, is holding a shoe collection drive for Planet Aid.
The collection will take place on October 26, the program's last walk of the season.
Bins are currently set up at elementary schools throughout the Avon Lake area to collect donations of outgrown and unused shoes. All shoes will be accepted including tennis shoes, crocks, boots, and flip flops.
