The [U.S. Environmental Protection Agency](http://www.epa.gov/) has posted case studies and other information on its website that shows how recycling helps strengthen communities. For example, the EPA cites *"The Economic Impact of the Recycling Industry in South Carolina*" published in 2006, which demonstrated that for every 1,000 tons of material recycled an additional 1.68 additional jobs were created in the state. In addition, for every 1,000 tons recycled, $3,687 in additional tax revenues were generated.

Planet Aid is proud to be a part of the effort to create strong communities. Our bright yellow bins found across the United States are helping to raise a vital consciousness and spirit of recycling that benefits people as well as the environment.
