2.3 Million Pounds of Used Clothes and Shoes Collected Nov. 15-29

America Recycles Day Clothing Drive

Small steps to reduce textile waste and fundraise have a big impact!

Planet Aid collected 2.3 million pounds of donated clothes and shoes during the 2025 America Recycles Day Clothing Drive held November 15-29. Every year, Planet Aid reminds donors that recycling doesn’t just apply to bottles and cans. Each year, Planet Aid invites donors to take part in a two-week clothing drive to commemorate America Recycles day, help reduce textile waste, and strengthen communities in the U.S. and around the world.

Small Steps, Big Impact

Planet Aid thanks those who donated gently used clothes and shoes for the clothing drive. It may seem like a small act, but your donations make a big difference:

♻️ Reduces textile waste: Keeps clothes and shoes out of landfills and incinerators, where they can release toxic chemicals into the environment.

🌎 Conserves natural resources: Extends the life of textiles and reduces the need to manufacture new ones—a process that consumes huge amounts of water, energy, and raw materials.

💛 Supports global livelihoods: Fuels the secondhand clothing industry, creating economic opportunities and supporting small businesses around the world.

🌱 Strengthens communities: Helps Planet Aid fund vital programs in education, health, agriculture, and local development in the U.S. and abroad.

When we work together, our small steps add up to lasting change. This America Recycles Day, join Planet Aid in giving your clothes a second life and helping build a more sustainable future—one donation at a time.

Thanks again to all those that donated between Nov. 15–29, 2025. You're part of the movement for a cleaner planet and stronger communities.
