Humana People to People Congo Implements New TB Program

Humana People to People-Congo (HPP Congo) developed a program to stop the spread of TB among the mining communities in south-eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The funding for the project is from the Stop TB Partnership and The Global Fund via a funding mechanism called "Strategic Initiative to Find the Missing People with TB.":

The project was developed as a targeted, active TB case-finding model, detecting TB in hot spots in south-eastern DRC. As such, the project is responding to the TB gaps in the mining sector that are fueled by stigma and discrimination, lack of TB case detection, as well as minimal treatment support and referrals.

You can read more about the project on Stop TB Partnership's website.
