Planet Aid Donates Clothes, Coats and Blankets to Area Homeless Charity Event

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Care of Poor People (COPP) held its annual Fall Survival event. The event is an opportunity for individuals in need and area homeless to get hot food, personal hygiene products and clothes for the upcoming winter. Planet Aid donated 8,418 pounds of clothes, coats and blankets to the event. Employees, friends and families of Planet Aid also donated their time to help setup and run event.

In spring 2012 Planet Aid was presented with COPP's Compassion award for all the volunteer hours and clothes it has provided to the organization's bi-annual events. Planet Aid remains committed to COPP and other area homeless and in-need charities. Throughout the year, Planet Aid separates coats and blankets from donated items and ensures that they remain in the communities in which our office operates. This year our office has donated almost 20,000 pounds of coats and blankets to area's homeless population.
