This past weekend, Planet Aid participated in Care of Poor People's (COPP) Stand Your Ground Event. The KC team has been involved with COPP's semi-annual events since early 2011 when COPP director first requested clothing donations. Since that time, Planet Aid has donated thousands of pounds of clothes, shoes, coats, blankets, and toys to the events (held in spring and fall). As well as donating items, Planet Aid staff also volunteers to help set up prior to the event and during the event distributing food and helping people collect items. This spring, Planet Aid donated 4,528 pounds of coats, clothes, and blankets. For more information, see the COPP website.
