Planet Aid has been mobilizing to help the poor and homeless in the cities of Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, and Kansas City during the recent cold snap. The arctic blast has retreated but more cold weather is yet in store. We are collecting blankets, sleeping bags, jackets to help those in need (see this ABC report from Cleveland about what you can do and use our bin finder or drop by one of our collection centers).

Our Kansas City mobilization follows our earlier work in December with the local charity COPP

We are also continuing to donate coats and blankets and other items in New England, which is also under winter weather duress. Last year our New England operation donated over 3,000 pounds of warm clothing to 18 local charities as well as hundreds of pounds of food and toiletries to food pantries. In the Washington DC area we support the International Rescue Committee.
